Plan Your Visit

We're really glad you're here.

603 S Pearl St, Elk Point, SD 57025

Visiting a church for the first time can feel intimidating, especially if you're bringing kids or coming by yourself. Whether you’ve been to church before or you’re not sure what you believe, you don’t have to have it all figured out to walk through our doors! There’s no pressure and no expectations, just come as you are. We’d love to meet you, so let's get you feeling totally prepared to make a visit!

Service Times

Sunday Mornings - 9:30 | 11:00am

We offer two Sunday services at 9:30am and 11:00am. Both services are the same just different time options. Sundays are a great place to visit for the first time and get a feel for who we are.

Wednesday Evenings - 7:00PM

Wednesday nights are more relaxed and interactive, with open discussion and opportunities to ask questions as Pastor Jesse teaches. It’s a midweek gathering where you can show up as you are and be met right where you’re at.

Want real Advice from one of our members?

“Come on a Wednesday night. Most people will visit on a Sunday. On a Wednesday night you'll meet the most familiar faces of our church, and quickly see that you are met right where you are. You’re accepted where you are.”
- Dawn C.

What To Expect

We welcome new guests at Elk Point Baptist Church every single week. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by real people who are genuinely glad you came. You won’t be singled out or put on the spot...but fair warning, people here are friendly. Grab a seat (no worries, you’re not taking anyone’s seat), take things at your own pace, and simply observe if that feels best for you.

Our Sunday services are about 1 hour long and include worship through music, prayer, and a Bible based message that’s practical, relatable, and rooted in God’s Word.

You don’t need to know when to stand or sit, and there’s no pressure to participate. Just come as you are, and let us take it from there.

"I feel challenged by this church in the aspect of being able to grow my own personal relationship with the lord. The church is authentic. Open about us being broken people. Everything feels genuine and real. Not perfect put together - just real people."

- McKenzie B.

I wasn’t sure if we were making the right decision by changing churches, but our first visit- Pastor’s message was just FOR ME. I knew God was meeting me where I was at and that He knew I needed to hear that message. We had visited a few other churches - but there was no doubt God was calling us to Elk Point. We were encouraged by the other young families, opportunities to serve and saw where we fit in. I really appreciated that the members Aren't cookie cutter Christians and were authentic about what their lives were like.

- Nicole H.

"The people are genuine and real. I can be myself. I don’t have to have it altogether."

- Dawn C.

"I have never felt so moved by the Holy Spirit as I do at EPBC. Learning the truth in God’s word and how it applies to my life has transformed me."

- Rachel J.

"Pastor Jesse preaches straight from the Bible! Sound Doctrine, but not legalistic."

- Sharon U.

"We feel like we matter here."

- April B.

A FEW QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT BE HAVING...

What should I wear?

Whatever you’re comfortable in. You’ll see everything from jeans and sweatshirts to dresses and button downs. There’s no dress code here.

How long is the service?

Our Sunday services typically last about an hour from start to finish. Unless Pastor's message is on a roll...haha kidding...mostly.

What about kids?

We love kids! During the service, we offer Jr. Church with age appropriate groups for children from infancy through high school. Kids worship with their families during the music and are then dismissed to their groups before the message begins. Each group is designed to be safe, welcoming, and engaging for their age. You’re always welcome to keep your kids with you, too. Learn more about kids ministry here.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Arriving about 10 minutes early gives us time to welcome you, help you get settled, and say hello before the service begins. We also have a small gift for first time guests.
Want to save time? You can fill out a connection card online to save a few minutes in person.

Will I be pressured to give money?

Nope. Giving is part of our worship, but there is no pressure or expectation for guests to give. We don't pass a plate anyways, we just have designated boxes for our regular members to use for giving if they choose.

What if I don’t know much about the Bible or faith?

That’s more common than you'd think. You don’t need to have it all figured out to be here. If you’re looking for a starting point, we’ve created a podcast where we answer real questions people have about the Bible. It’s a great way to explore faith at your own pace. (It was ranked a 2025 Spotify top 10% most viewed podcast!)
